An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a progressive and growing professional services environment, working closely with senior management and the wider Finance team.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to take ownership of management accounting responsibilities while also getting involved in reporting, budgeting, forecasting and supporting the development of junior team members.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly management accounts across a group of companies
- Supporting month-end processes, including WIP adjustments and departmental reporting
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Producing management packs for presentation to the Board
- Assisting with year-end and statutory accounts
- Supporting cashflow forecasting and budgeting
- Preparing weekly reporting around staff analysis, chargeability and performance
- Supporting day-to-day bookkeeping activities where required
- Coaching, developing and training junior members of the team
- Working closely with senior management and key stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight
About You
We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, commercially minded and keen to develop their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- Nearly or newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status
- Proven experience in a similar Management Accountant role
- Experience gained within either industry or practice
- Strong management accounting and month-end experience
- A confident and proactive approach to working with senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A good level of IT and systems confidence; knowledge of CCH would be advantageous
- A genuine interest in developing and supporting more junior members of a team
