Senior Accountant | Accountancy Practice | Cannock
Are you an experienced practice accountant who wants more ownership, stronger client relationships and the opportunity to genuinely make an impact within a growing firm?
I’m recruiting for an ambitious and growing accountancy practice based in Cannock, who are looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant to their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being more than simply an accounts preparer. You’ll take ownership of a varied SME portfolio, work closely with clients and Directors, support junior team members and have the opportunity to become a genuine trusted adviser to your clients.
The opportunity:
✨ Manage your own portfolio of SME clients
✨ Prepare and review statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns
✨ Handle Personal Tax, VAT and wider client queries
✨ Build strong, long-term relationships with business owners
✨ Provide proactive advice around growth, tax and financial management
✨ Mentor and support junior members of the team
✨ Work closely with the Directors of a growing independent practice
✨ Genuine scope to develop and progress as the firm continues to grow
What are they looking for?
You’ll ideally have 5+ years’ experience within accountancy practice and be confident preparing accounts for SMEs, with good knowledge across Corporation Tax, Personal Tax and VAT.
ACA/ACCA qualification would be beneficial, but strong practical practice experience is key.

💰 £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
